One Queue, Two Ledgers: Recapture, Review, and Where Agent Value Posts
Take one queue, one agent, and one measured speedup, and book the result two ways. The queue is the collections refund queue from this library's identity and handoff papers, where the collections agent coll-07 prepares refunds under a lease approved by the supervisor sup-17. A business process outsourcing (BPO) contractor staffs the queue. The agent makes the drafting part of each case 4 times faster. In Booking A, finance amends the contract and releases 8 contractor seats; the contractor expense line falls by 40,000 dollars a month, the agent's run cost adds 10,000, and monthly earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rise by 30,000. In Booking B, nobody amends the contract; the same handlers absorb the freed hours, the contractor line does not move, and EBIT falls by 10,000 a month, because the only new lines on the ledger are the agent's inference and platform bills. Same speedup, same agent, a 40,000 dollar monthly gap between the two. Every dollar figure in the example is a design target, labeled as such where it appears; none is data.
